Made by broke bitches, for broke bitches.
We just wanna get good.

Without a monthly subscription, without forgetting to cancel a free trial period, without having to play capitalism. Freequivalent acts as a resource compiling free softwares, programs, and tools into one open-source website: this one!
None of us can afford anything.
-
And we're tired of it! Think of Freequivalent not just as a means of easing your wallet, but as a manifesto for public resources. The internet has largely become an addictive void of consumerism and not a place to visit, learn, connect, and grow. As third spaces (i.e. libraries, community centers) are disappearing because our government wastes our taxes to subsidize the Epstein class and to fund pointless wars, it's up to us to create our own spaces that preserve knowledge and encourage our freedom of expression without having to pay into corporations. Freequivalent is just one of countless online efforts to do this.
Why is there an image of a woman holding a gun to a goldfish's head?
For the same reason we made this website: why not?
